When the accounts are read and you hear how much money is going to the worldwide work it is very little. When we were going only $200-$300.00 per month. I always thought that was strange. The friends are not contributing. Let's face it a car payment can easily be more than a couple hundred dollars and that is all that is put into the contribution box each month.

We own a very small business yet it takes a lot of money and you can go through money quickly with business expenses. It doesn't take long. Lett said more is going out than coming in, and obviously he is right. They wouldn't be having the cutbacks they are having if they had enough money. My two cents worth, they are going down and I can't wait!

A new step in my exit from the WT

if you remember, i've been posting here my subsequent steps from a regular pioneer and ms at the beginning of this year to a rank-and-file publisher after stepping down as ms two months ago.. during these months, i've been through a difficult way.

but after every step, i could feel freer and better.

i've met a person outside the wt that has changed my life forever and i have experienced a freedom of thought and an inner peace like never before.. however, i knew that staying in my hometown would make my fading very difficult.

Yeah! Good for you. That gets your cards out of the old congregation and let's face it, they really don't care about you or anybody. After they get your cards that will be it, you will be free. Don't ever go back.

I had a frustrating conversation with my dad who has been in for over 40 years. When I was waking up I carefully told him a few things about 1914. I was also blown away about the Gutenberg press marking the fall of Babylon. Really??? What scripture says that? I tried to explain to him how that new light completely erases the things we learned in Revelation.

He said he doesn't care, he can't keep up with all that stuff, he is going to do what they say so he can live in paradise. He does not know that I have left. He lives halfway across the country thank goodness. Any conversation I have with him he wants to talk about paradise. I think many are that way, after all it is just around the corner!

first, a word about the watchtower’s financial position: nobody (outside the watchtower organization) knows.

the wtbs is not required to disclose its finances, and doesn’t.

we can speculate, but that is all we are doing.

If Watchtower goes down, think of all the divorces. I know several in loveless marriages and only stay together because of the "truth". If the truth is no more I don't think they will stay together. It would be interesting.

the dyed in the woolers are referring to how the gb are now blatantly pontificating threateningly it seems, about wanting money even from children, all the time.

I am from the "older" generation, in for 43 years. Seeing the changes was very disturbing to me. Older ones have more to reflect on and it seems to me it should be easier for them to wake up. For example we studied typical antitypical for years and now none of it is true. I told the elders that visited me it is impossible to keep up with the chariot because it does complete turn arounds. How can you be going one direction and oops - that was wrong! Let's go this way now! If it was ran by Jehovah it would be smooth sailing! I don't think they liked that much.

Typical/Antitypical is the very thing that woke me up. GB said we don't believe that anymore with one stroke of the pen. I was ANGRY. Think of the years worth of meetings we have gone to and that is all we studied! They were making it all up as they go.

Well then what about Daniel 4 that they base 1914 on? That is Typical/Antitypical, so 1914 must not be true. That was my reasoning. Looked it up, sure enough, not true, and I am out after 43 years of wasting time. Makes me mad.

For Christians: What do you think about an Armagedon and the Afterlife

i don't mean for anyone to get into argument over this, i just want to hear what people believe.i hope that no one will mock or argue with someone else about their beliefs, i know that i won't in this topic.. i still believe in a christian god, not what jws believe, but believe that there has to be something after this life.

i am not sure about how armageddon would go, would it be like how evangelicals believe with a rapture or timing or anything, though i still believe in a form of armageddon.

i do think that all good people will go to heaven but i don't believe in a hell.

Hi John, I wanted to thank you for posting the court cases on this sight. I am always curious what is going on. I can't say that I always understand them, but I appreciate your posts.

I believe in God. I cannot become an atheist. I work in my yard all the time and you cannot convince me a marvelous creator was not involved. It is amazing to watch bamboo grow, roses, hibiscus, etc. Is God's name Jehovah? I really don't know. I have to believe that there is more to life and there is something that we humans cannot understand if God tried to explain it to us.

I have been studying the trinity, immortality of the soul, hellfire, proof that Jesus was real.... I need to know. I am shocked to find out how inaccurate the New World translation is and that is a big part of the problem as scriptures we have burned in our brain are not correct. Anyway, I am searching, researching and must find an answer. At the same time, scared to death because I do not want to be fooled again.

I left 6 months ago. I told my husband just last week I feel lost like I have an empty hole to fill. Thanks for your question. It is good to know others feel the same way.

i was a window cleaner, i was at the time unemployed, homeless.

i had no education to be proud of (high school one a two b's rest c's) i was a jehovahs witness.

i had been a pioneer.

Thank you for sharing your story. I am so happy for you. Witness kids that do not wake up are going to struggle their whole life. I spoke with a couple young brothers in service not long ago and asked them how they would ever be able to support a family. They were out of high school, pioneering and waiting for Armageddon, living at home. What a shame. I was not fully awake and still felt bad for them. Thanks again
